Fulfillment

Every individual is a unique identity.  He has his own experiences and own kind of behavior and reactions towards life.
Hence, the way an individual behaves corresponds to his perception of his past experiences as well as his vision of his future life.  These, plus the intrinsic will of an individual prevails in the way he deals with and cope up with different situations and variables to which he is exposed to.
A person therefore who had sad experiences in the past may tend to act against possibilities of similar unwanted incidents whereas, happy experiences may make a person act quickly and favorably in accordance with wanted stimulus.  That is, to repeat the desirable feeling gained from the past.
And though he may carry with him the "baggage of childhood" - factors which really contribute in determining the level of ego development, I think his reactions and behavior is mostly the output of his will to create the desired effect!
This will or determination comes from within the individual regardless of his background- socio-economic status, race, etc..  This is in quest for sense of fulfillment, a personal value which is either consciously or unconciously longed for by every person.
It has been said that child-rearing practices of parents to their children as well as childhood traits of an individual predict levels of adult ego development. Thus, a child tends to develop into self-aware adults capable of formulating long-term goals if they are reared by supportive and understanding parents while a child may tend to turn into a self-absorbed adults whose impulsiveness can lead them to violence and substance abuse if they are raised by critical, harsh or authoritarian parents.
Moreover,  the mind-set or "fixation" of an individual is also a factor that influences his behavior. A person may react or behave in accordance or different from this as he rationalizes it.  And presto, it's the will to do it that counts.  It is the desire to acquire self-fulfillment!
Hence, if a woman got pregnant but not yet married, that is because, it's her will.  It will be irrational to say that because she was out of her mind when they did it!  Exceptional, of course are the uncontrollable  variables that may act against the will of the individual such as "rape cases"  Other than this, what happened or what she became is the by-product of his will.
I could then theoretically state that "an individual's reaction and behavior manifests his level of development and will to achieve sense of fulfillment"!
