Definitely, Filipino culture is rich in myths & superstitions (I will blog more on this some time later). But DEFINITELY, too, I am NOT a believer of both.
It's just that on this first day of the year, I remember what was believed by some old folks as was told to me by my former boss, who was a decade & a half older than me.
It is regarding the first 12 days of the year - the weather condition of each day represents the weather condition of most days in the coming months.
So, the weather condition on January 1 will more likely be the weather condition of most days on January 13 onwards. The weather condition on January 2 will more likely be the weather condition of most days on February. And January 3-12 will be more likely be the weather condition of most days on March to December.
Like last year, I have this "let me see" attitude again. That's why, I will be posting here the daily weather condition from my point of location from day 1 to 12 of January 2010 and let me see. (lol!)
Day 1 - Partly sunny and partly cloudy. It was a beautiful day to climb up the hill/mountain to enjoy the aerial view of the place. But I felt it was not wise for me because I have so many things to attend to the whole day. Well, talk about time management that wasn't observed last year...got to start trying it again. he-he-he
Day 2 - I stayed at home (facing the monitor, rushing some paper works) the whole day. But since it's beside the window, I did see that this weekend is such a beautiful sunny day. Could it be that February will be full of sunny days???
Day 3 - Partly sunny and cloudy the whole daytime. It rained for a while early at night.
Day 4 - Back to school!!! It was such a sunny day that I didn't want to go home yet at 2PM. The scorching heat of the sun (especially when walking without an umbrella) plus almost 2 hour trip back home often gives me headache.
Day 5 - Whole sunny day.
Day 6 - Sunny Day.
Day 7 - Sunny day but with rain showers at night.
Day 8 - Sunny Day
Day 9 - Definitely, sunny day but there was brief
rain shower in the afternoon.
Day 10 - Sunny Day. Hmmm... does it mean
October will be a dry month???
Day 11 - Sunny Day
Day 12- Sunny Day
