Farewell to a Friend

I heard the tv news broadcast on the highway accident between a van & a bus on New Year's Eve. But not the details.

Then, this morning, I learned from my niece that an old friend of mine passed away because of that accident.

I may not have seen her for years (over a decade I think) but we shared some beautiful memories of friendship during our teenage days. She was such a good "ate" to me at some points in my life. It's more than enough reason for me to feel genuine sadness over her demise.

It was such a tragic new year's eve for her family. It was a relief somehow that other members of her family who were in her company survived the accident.

Farewell to a good friend. It could have been better said if it refers to only parting ways that anytime you wish, you can meet each other again. But it was not....

It was "farewell" which was meant to never ever seeing each other again... it was "farewell forever, friend"!
